YYTZ is a cashew nut processor based out of Zanzibar, that locally sources and processes its products to be sold locally in Tanzania and exported internationally to distribution partners in Sub Saharan Africa, North America and Europe.
The company is a socially responsible enterprise whose mission is to work with farmers and women’s groups to add value to their own cashews, while paying higher prices and ensuring more value remains in these rural communities.
StratLink supported YYTZ providing both strategic advisory and fundraise support.
The services provided by StratLink included, but were not limited to, technical assistance and support on preparation of management and audited accounts, preparation and management of a virtual data room, on-ground support including field and factory visit support, preparation of investor-facing materials, financial model development, due diligence and legal support throughout the deal close process.
YYTZ was able to raise over $1 million in equity, debt and convertible notes. The capital injected allowed the company to grow and scale operations to North America and the GCC. It also enabled the company to expand processing capacity in its factory in order to adequately serve its clients.
